NORDFORM GROUP / FOR EQUIPMENT MAKERS

Design that keeps pace
with your order book.

You deliver machines, process equipment or whole packages into a customer’s plant, and every order needs the steel, access and supports around them designed again. When the order book fills, that design is the first thing to run out, and the project waits for it.

01 / WHERE THE PROJECT WAITS

Design gates
every package twice.

Packages are staggered, so both gates come back in waves through the whole project. When design capacity is full, every package waits in the same queue.

GATE 1

Before the package can be bought

A package goes to suppliers only when its technical definition exists. If design is full, the tender waits, or it goes out early on thin information and commitments are made before anyone needs to make them.

GATE 2

After vendor data arrives

Vendor drawings, loads and interfaces need engineering again before site work can be released. A justified change late in the project is weighed against the design queue, not against its value.

02 / WHAT WE TAKE ON

The packages that
come back on every order.

Access, platforms and supports around your equipment, designed to your layout, with a named engineer responsible for each package.

Your layout first
Your equipment layout is the fixed reference. We design to it and record which revision of it each package was designed to. We open DXF, IFC and DWG files to read them.
Running today
Stair towers, as a repeatable design: inputs, model, structural checks, quantities, drawings and handover. Drawings come as PDF and DXF with a parts list and shop views, issued as S3 · For review and comment.
Also in Nordform
Access platforms on posts with guard-rail, knee rail and toe-plate, reached by a straight stair or a caged ladder, laid out and checked against EN ISO 14122 values. Walkways and platforms fitted around a particular machine are scoped as their own assignment.

03 / WHAT STAYS YOURS

We take the design wait.
The decisions stay with you.

  • Release authority. Your engineer decides what is released. Nothing we issue counts as released until they say so.
  • Release for fabrication. Under EN 1090 the manufacturer releases for fabrication. That stays with the manufacturer.
  • Your systems. Files come to you in formats your tools open today. Your own systems stay the record of what you build.
  • Your customer. We work on your project for you. The relationship with your customer stays yours.

We take design off the critical path before and after the order. Fabrication, shipping and your own approvals take the time they take.

04 / YOUR DATA

Your projects
stay private.

What we say here is what the product does today. The security page has the detail.

  1. 01

    Your own workspace

Projects sit in your company’s private workspace with authenticated ownership. People see them only when invited, and a withdrawn role closes what it showed.

  2. 02

    One revision per share

A share gives read access to one revision only. It never allows editing.

  3. 03

    No training on your designs

We do not train or fine-tune any model on your designs, briefs or documents.

  4. 04

    Stored in the EU

Uploaded files and generated artifacts are kept in private storage in Cloudflare’s EU jurisdiction.

  5. 05

Your name stays off this site

Material about your projects lives in a signed-in customer space for the people you invite, never on a public page.

  6. 06

    Certification programme

We are building our information security management to ISO/IEC 27001 and preparing for a SOC 2 examination. Ask for our current controls at security@nordformgroup.com.

05 / HOW TO START

One package.
One live project.

We measure waiting time, not design hours. You keep release authority and your systems throughout.

THE FIRST PACKAGE
  1. Pick the package. One recurring package type that always waits for design.
  2. Measure the wait today. From when it could start to when design starts, and from vendor data to released drawings.
  3. Run the next ones with us. The same two waits, plus the changes accepted and the changes deferred.
  4. Compare. Your own number for what the wait costs, from your own project.

START WITH THE PACKAGE

Which package
always waits?

Tell us the package type, the project and when the next one is due.
We’ll agree the measure and the scope before work starts.
